preggo approved cookie dough

on night's like tonight, when Nick works late and I don't feel like doing anything but staying in PJ's and watching chick flicks, a girl needs her cookie dough.

but what's a poor preggo to do when raw eggs are on the no-no list??
search pinterest for an egg-less cookie dough recipe of course!

click HERE for the link to the original post

i placed some on a cookie sheet so that i can freeze the dough and have one whenever i fancy!
i know i have lots of preggo friends out there so i hope this provides you with an excuse to eat cookie dough over the next 9 months!!

IT'S A....

Nick and I are very excited to be welcoming a baby boy this November!

Some of my cousins like to do what's called a "gender prediction cake"
It's a fun game, not taken too seriously, that is used to "predict" the gender of your baby

You make a cake half blue/half pink, frost it so you can't see the colors, spin it around and take a slice out of the cake to see what your "gender prediction" is for you baby

We did this a couple of days before our Dr appointment

It's a blue piece!!

this is my "hmmm...maybe?" face

look how close my slice was to the pink section!! haha

it was a really fun family night activity, but who knew it would be exactly right?!!
I loved doing this, and I think it's a fun idea for anyone wanting to have a little fun predicting the gender of their baby.

Once again, we are so so excited! Little boys are so fun, and we can't believe that we are so lucky
Heavenly Father sure has given us a wonderful blessing
He has entrusted me with a precious spirit to raise here on this earth,
and I only pray that I will be able to live up to that responsibility

cali part four: spidey crabs, pancakes, gnarly waves

last post about cali, i promise!

Nick caught this awesome crab. I guess it's a spider crab? pretty cool

hey, the baby was hungry!

we threw the spidey crab back in the water and the boys decided to cook and eat some of the decent looking crabies

the verdict? pretty good...but I don't like it. they decided the rest could live for one more day and threw them back in the ocean

mega awesomeness

and they came with tropical syrup...heaven!

this is one happy full husband :)

last day on the beach! The sun finally came out

splashing water at the sibs

love that smile

catching some gnarly waves

pretty much we had a great time in cali and I'm sad it's already over. until next year! Oh boy, at that time we will have a wee little one to take pictures of...haha picture overload coming to the blog summer 2013 :)
