I'm a dental hygienist, and yes I love being in people's mouths. I don't find it gross. I find it absolutely fascinating and completely satisfying to help people achieve healthy mouths.
I plan to continue with my education and maybe teach in a dental hygiene school and/or be a spokes person for a major education/prevention company like Colgate. Wouldn't that be awesome?
I love to take pictures...much to the irritation of those around me...but I feel that the moments that seem "unimportant" are the ones we wish we could remember and the ones we cherish most in pictures.
I'm obsessed with reading, but I'm picky. I don't like to read books that make me feel sad without eventually bringing me to happiness. I almost always prefer fiction, but I do love biographies. What I mostly look for in a book is for the read to take me into a place/world different than my own so I can get lost from my own cares and worries. It's my favorite way to relax. Also, my favorite book is and will always be Harry Potter. It's not juvenile, it's what it is. they're the best. the end
My favorite sport is softball, because even though some think it's boring to watch, it's the most fun to play! Unfortunately the only time I ever get to play is when women's softball for church rolls around once a year. sigh...
I love to be on stage. acting is such an exhilarating experience that i enjoyed in my childhood and wish that I still had time to participate in. My favorite part about acting is playing the quirky parts. The evil stepsister, the wicked witch, the nosy matchmaker, the snotty cheerleader. I like the challenge and I love to play and act a certain way that I don't usually get to.

Nick
Nick is a certified nursing assistant on the path towards nursing school. He works in the evenings and isn't thrilled about it, but he does what he has to do gain experience in the medical field and help pay the bills.
Nick loves animals. LOVES them. At this current time we have 2 frogs, 20 fish, 2 snakes and a dog. I'm always worried that when he comes home from a camp out he will bring home a tarantula, snake or some other kind of wild creature. He knows almost everything about animals and he still considers Steve Erwin to be his greatest hero.
Nick is all about the outdoors. He loves shows like survivorman and dual survival and it would be his dream if he could live for a week in the wild with nothing but a knife. I'm too scared to let him do that, or he probably already would have.
Nick can make ANYTHING! He makes knives, bows, arrows, fire pistons, alcohol stoves, longboards, etc. He likes to document the things he makes on youtube, but I won't post the link to his page because he would probably kill me. But I'm always impressed at how determined he is to make something and make it perfect. He never settles for a finished product that he thinks is substandard. He will continue to make something through trial and error until he is satisfied.
Nick is HILARIOUS. Most people never get to see this side of Nick, but if you are one of the lucky ones you know what I'm talking about. Once again, he would kill me if I elaborated on this issue so I will just leave it at that.

Calvin was born Nov 7th 2012. For my account of the birth story click HERE. He is a spunky little firecracker of a boy and we love him to death. His favorite things in life are mashed banana, playing fetch with Lucy, white noise, wheels on the bus, swinging, and being wrapped like a burrito.
Lucy
Lucy is our dog. I'm adding her here to the page because I'm sure you'll see lots of pictures of her. She goes by Goose and we seriously love this crazy thing. She is spunky and sweet with not a mean bone in her body. She is my little buddy and brings SO much joy to our lives.
