Laugh

Kristin: "So, you are Ok with renting the upstairs at Grandma's house for a while after we're married?"

Nick: "Ya sure. We'll be able to save lots of money." :)

Kristin: "Ok well, we'll get her whole upstairs. There are two rooms and a bathroom and..."

Nick: "Kristin. We're going to be sleeping in the same room..."

Kristin: "HAHAHAHAHA"

Happy Wednesday :)

Thoughts for Thursday

What has Kristin been thinking about lately...

1. I love to see the Temple, I'm going there in less than 72 days...

I can't wait to go to the Temple. It's like you prepare your whole life and finally you are less than 72 days away from actually going! Not only am I excited about getting married to the love of my life, but I'm excited to learn and grow and feel closer my Heavenly Father. Nick and I have had the opportunity to go to the Temple together many times and each time it has been wonderful. Instead of going through a Temple session, he comes with me to do baptisms so we can be together. Nick is the best :)

2. Wedding TO DO list
So my mom has been so sweet and has done so much for the wedding/reception planning, but she also has given me a list of things that I get to do. With the assistance of my sweetheart of course :)

1. Guest list – Ok, this is almost done we just need to add Nick’s ginormous list ;
2. Make Labels for announcement - which can't happen till #1 is finished
3. Doctor’s appt. (AHHH!) - let's move on...
4. Meet with grandma - soon to be our new landlord :)
5. Temple dress, garments - Which I can't get until I have a recommend...
6. Wedding Video with Grandpa - YAY! Now Nick and I just have to gather all the pictures so we can start
7. Wedding license - workin on it
8. Nick’s ring - got it covered! ;)
9. Temple recommend, living ordinance recommend - can't get that for a while
10. Bridal registry - YAY! I'm so excited for this! I'm going to go to Target and register for all the movies :)
11. Meet with photographer - haha this is the only thing that is actually done on this list...

3. Haley's Tag
Haley I know you tagged me forever ago but at least I got around to it right? here's the fourth file's fourth picture

haha this is a picture from last summer when me, Heather, and Noel carved watermelons. it was soo fun and tasty! My watermelon has the coolest mustache, and has pretty cool eyebrows too, but the brow is hard to see in this picture.
To haley: I'm so glad that you have your plane tickets and that you are going to be able to make it! You're awesome. Thanks for being such a great friend :)

4. Gorgeous Weather!

Can you believe this weather? It's perfect (in Arizona at least ;). I am currently in the habit of automatically rolling down my windows every time I get in my car. Every morning after I either pour myself some Honey Bunches of goodness, or cook me up some cream of wheat, I take my bowl and spoon to the back yard and just sit. I love it right now because it's so nice and chilly in the shade (under a tree in grass of course :) and yet so pleasantly warm in the sun. I wish it stayed like this all year round in Arizona...that would be awesome. Nick doesn't though, he really likes the heat of summer. He's lucky that there are WAY more days of heat in AZ than anything else and that it's not too far away. I have to soak up this gorgeousness while it lasts

5. "Maybe you should chew, ON MY FIST!"

"There is no charge for awesomeness...OR attractiveness"

"I know you're trying to be all Kung Fooie and all..."

"No, but If he could read my mind he'd be like...what?"

"Legend tells of a legendary warrior, whose skills were the stuff of LEGENDS"

"we should hang out" ... "agreed"

"So like, Ugway was just a crazy old turtle after all"

"One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it"

"Panda, we do not wash our pits in the pool of sacred tears"

"Dad, sometimes I don't think i'm really even your son..."

"I accidently tweaked his facial nerve! And may have even stopped his heart" (poke, poke)

"Stop! That tickles. Stop, I'm gonna pee. Don't...don't..."

"The warrior said nothing for his mouth was full. Then he swallowed, then he spoke"

"SHAKABOOIE!"

"The wooshie finger hold! Not the Wooshie finger hold!" "Oooh, you know this hold?"

"You're bluffing! Sheefoo didn't teach you that!" "Nope...I figured it out. SKADOOSH!"

6.BABIES!
Two new babies were born into my extended family within the last month and it got me thinking about babies. I'm not planning on have children for a while because in dental hygiene school they suggest you don't get pregnant since you use x-rays a lot. I have been thinking about what baby names I like though cause it is so fun! My only problem is that every time I think of a name it isn't good enough for my future baby. I have yet to find a name that strikes me as something I would want to use. Any suggestions?

7. Blessed
I am so blessed. Life is so happy for me right now. I am grateful for a loving family and loving friends. I am so grateful that Nick is in my life and that he is so perfect for me. I am so glad Nick has an amazing job, that I even have a job, and that we both go to school. I am just so happy right now. It's THURSDAY! The weekend is practically here! Not only that, but it's also my spring break next week, and not that I have a hectic schedule or anything, but It will be nice to have a break from school. It's a bummer that MCC is way lame and has a different spring break schedule, but it's ok. Nick and i are slowly getting over it (not really).

Have a good one! Happy Thursday!

Where exactly did I dry my yellow beauties?

Since my mom is like, the bom.com (click!) and is the most awesome flower person ever, she is going to make a flower arrangement with my little yellow cuties.
AND since these are my reception colors:

a cute little bouquet of dried yellow roses will look so cute at my reception somewhere.

Movie must haves

HAPPINESS

Sup? I hope ya'll are doing great cause I'm FANTASTIC. Plans for the wedding and reception are chugging along. I had a nervous breakdown last week cause I was so overwhelmed with the planning, but things have been much better this week :)
SO I'm putting together a list of all the movies Nick and I MUST have for when we are hitched and boring and couch potatoes. It happens.
Anyway, here is a list of the movies we already own

1. Singing in the Rain
2. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
3. Sand Lot
4. Just my Luck
5. Fiddler on the Roof
6. She's the Man
7. Two Weeks Notice
8. Hairspray

These movies are pretty much awesome to the max. That's why I own them. I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them at the moment.
SO, obviously I am in DIRE need of many more movies to entertain me and my future husband when we transform into boring people. This is where you come in. Let me know what movies you think I should add to my MUST have list.
Here is my must have list so far...

1. Kung Fu Panda (best movie ever!)
2. Pride & Prejudice
3. Wait Until Dark
4. Various Disney classics

Any others? Let me know which movies I MUST have!
Don't be afraid to post! My future entertainment depends on you!

en-gey-jd

SO I'm sure you have already heard and all, but I'm engaged! I thought I would do a cute little post on how it happened :)

SO let's give some background. It didn't come as a surprise at all. We have been talking about getting engaged for a couple of weeks and he even told me (last week) that he was going to go look at rings with his mom. This was the order in which Nick thought things should go. Get ring...talk to dad...propose. So I thought to myself, "Even if he does get a ring today (last Friday), he won't be able to talk with my dad because my dad's leaving on a camp out today and will be gone all weekend."
Well, Nick is sneaky, and he kinda sorta tricked me....FALSE. I was never tricked whatsoever. When Nick called me Friday afternoon asking me to go to dinner with him and wanting me to dress nice, I knew he was proposing. I was confused though. How did he talk with my dad so soon? He only barely looked for rings that day! (last Friday).

SO, I came home very nervous, knowing that tonight was the night and my family only confirmed my suspicions. They all acted like they knew something that I didn't and they couldn't stop smiling and getting excited about me going out with Nick that night. So Nick picked me up and we went to dinner. I hardly ate anything I was so anxious. After dinner we had filled our bellies to their maximum capacity...

Me: "What are we going to do now?"

Nick: "I don't know. Want to do something random?"

Me: *WHAT?!* "Ummm...sure, like what?" **Nick NEVER wants to do anything random!
What's he planning?**

Nick: "Want to go see the house I was born in?" **sweet smile**

Me: ".......sure......" **Ya, ok, that's extremely random**

------15 minutes later, driving-------

Me: "So, where is the house you born in?"

Nick: **nervousness** "Oh, well, um, it's over by the um...by the temple..." **sideways glance**

Me: **light bulb of understanding** "oh ok" :D

SO we ended up looking at the house he was born in for a grand total of 2 seconds, and then Nick CASUALLY asks "Want to walk around the temple for a bit?" So we're walking around the temple and he's SOO nervous and cute and I'm laughing because I TOTALLY know what's going on. SO then we sat down on a bench in front of the temple and he's hugging me. At this point we have our heads against each other and he's so nervous that I can feel his racing heart beat through his head. I tried to be funny so I reached around to his neck and felt his pulse. He got embarrassed and pulled my hand away. SO then he says "Can I ask you something?" and I say "Of course" and he gets down on one knee, says a bunch of sweet things and then asks me to marry him. Can you guess what I said? "YES!"
and yes I did cry, but he's used to my sobbing at this point

so here is the ring. It's not the best picture...it's WAY better in person, but this is the best my camera could do for the time beingHe did good eh? (that's right, I'm legit Canadian)

I can't wait to keep you all up to date with all the goings on as we plan the reception and I prepare to go to the temple!
Oh and guess what?! I already have a dress! We'll have to save that for next time.... :)

My Actual Meaningless Life

OK, I'm kind of sick of JUST talking about things that have no prevalence in any one's life. Don't cry Nollie I'll still put meaningless rants up often, I just want to talk some more about my life, since I don't talk to all of my "readers/adoring fans/stalkers" everyday.

I kinda sorta have something like a boyfriend. OK, he is my boyfriend, it's just hard for me to get used to saying it! Every time I say the phrase "my boyfriend" around my friend Nicki, she bursts out into laughter and shouts "Gah! You have a boyfriend!"

So ANYWAY...I guess that's all I really wanted to say. Things are going great with school and life. My boss isn't bothering me as much anymore and I have decent grades. What more could I ask for?

Let's add something random for fun shall we?
An Ohio elementary school was evacuated after a kindergartner brought a grenade for show and tell. They brought in the bomb squad and everything...too bad it was just a pomegranate :P

Thanks for reading my meaningless rant
